Nemrtvý zlotřilec známý jako Emperor Zombie (David Hyde Pierce) se svou tlupou uloupí starodávný svitek, jenž skrývá tajemství cesty ke Gungově chrámu. Gung byl starověký válečník, který díky síle tajemného drahokamu téměř ovládl tehdejší svět – což by Zombiemu také nebylo „proti srsti“. Robotický agent prezidenta Lincolna Screw-on Head se však vydává v jeho stopách…. Předlohou animovaného snímku byl stejnojmenný komiks, jehož autorem je Mike Mignola (Hellboy).
