Příběh chlapce a jeho psa, který milují už čtyři generace, poprvé přichází na velké plátno jako dobrodružná podívaná v nádherných kulisách savojských Alp. Sebastián žije v horách u svého adoptivního dědečka a jednoho dne se tajně spřátelí s divokou fenkou Bellou, velkým horským psem. Uprostřed polodivoké přírody na alpských svazích spolu zažívají nejedno dobrodružství, a brzy přijde čas na to největší z nich. To, které jim přinese svět dospělých v období 2. světové války.
