Hlavním hrdina filmu Art Frankel (Jay Baruchel) nejde svou přítelkyni Cody (Sarah Lind) v kómatu. Jediná osoba, která Artovi nabídne naději v uzdravení jeho přítelkyně, je bezdomovec Harvey (Jim Byrnes) a jeho stroj času, který našel v kontejneru. Art se poté snaží pomocí cestování časem změnit události Codyina života tak, aby nikdy neonemocněla.
