Bývalý policista Ray nyní pracuje u místní mafiánské rodiny jako šéf bezpečnosti. Jednoho večera do podniku vtrhne partička ozbrojenců, podnik vyloupí a při následné přestřelce zabijí syna mafiánského bosse a majitele podniku. Ten Raye, i přes jeho nelibost, pověří, aby lupiče a vrahy našel a přivedl. Ray potřebuje pomoc, ale v řadách bývalých parťáků příliš pochopení nenajde. Navíc když začnou důkazy ukazovat proti němu, bude muset bojovat i o očištění svého jména.
