V adaptácii novely H.G. Wellsa Ostrov doktora Moreaua sa Edward Parker ocitá na juhomorskom ostrove, kde vykonáva pokusy na ľuďoch šialený doktor Moreau. Parker časom zisťuje, že ostrov je plný obyvateľov, ktorí sú na pol ľudia a na pol zvery. Medzi nimi je aj krásna panteria žena, s ktorou sa postupne zbližuje, ale doktor s nimi už má svoj zvrátený plán.
