Film popisuje příběh geniálního sochaře Ivana Igora, majitele úspěšného muzea voskových figurín. Jeho přítel má však zálusk na snadno vydělané peníze a proto muzeum podpálí. Ivanovi se však podaří z hořícího pekla utéct. Zanedlouho otevírá muzeum nové, avšak figuríny, které v něm vystavuje, se nápadně podobají nedávno zesnulým lidem. Do vyšetřování se pouštějí dva detektivové, kteří mají za úkol záhadné tajemství muzea voskových figurín odhalit.
