Sonda do života policisty, který se rozhodl proti prohřeškům svých kolegů v policejním sboru svědčit, a napravit tak korupci a prorůstání s organizovaným zločinem. Jeho původní závazky, že nepoškodí nikoho ze svých partnerů a blízkých kolegů dostávají průběžně zabrat kvůli vyšetřovacímu systému, který nezná realitu na ulici a bere každého, který kdy něco protizákonného provedl, stejně. Problémy se nakonec obrátí i proti samotnému protagonistovi, který se dostane do situace, ve které nechtěl nikdy být, a řeší, že jeho původní představy o nápravě zlořádu uvnitř policejního sboru jsou neuskutečnitelné. Pro policisty platí to samé, jako pro zločince – práskač zůstává práskačem. Podle skutečné události.
