Název snímku předčasně zemřelého režiséra Hala Ashbyho Rolling Stones – LET'S SPEND THE NZGHT TOGETHER je odvozen z titulu slavného hitu této skupiny a zároveň je i výzvou filmovým divákům: Buďme spolu tuto noc. Když se film připravoval do distribuce, nikoho nemohlo napadnout, že by diváci měli možnost vidět u nás něco jiného než právě jen filmový dokument o jedné z nejslavnějších světových skupin. Stalo se však nemožné a 18. srpna 1990 vystoupili Rolling Stones na jediném koncertu na Strahovském stadiónu (výtěžek byl věnován na dobročinné účely). Mimořádné akci byla věnována i mimořádná publicita. Americ-ký snímek z roku 1982 připomene zúčastněným atmosféru nezapomenutelného večera nezúčastněným alespoň přiblíží, jak koncerty Rolling Stones vypadají. Hal Ashby natáčel s početným štábem spolupracovníků( koncerty z amerického turné skupiny v roce 1981. Na otevřeném stadiónu Sun Devil Stadium v Tempe, Arizona, pracova1 se čtrnácti kamerami, v uzavřené Meadowlands' Brendan Byrne Arena v East Rutherfordu, New Jersey, dokonce s dvaceti kamerami. Dílo vzniklo per-fektním sestřihem tří koncertů. Na rozdíl od většiny podobných dokumentů je skutečně záznamem vystoupení s minimem pohledů do zákulisí použitých doku-mentů a fotografií, ilustrujících bodově vývoj skupiny. „Hlavním hrdinou“ je zpěvák a kytarista Mick Jagger, jehož neuvěřitelný výkon sledují kamery skutečně zblízka. Koncerty Rolling Stones se vyznačují také důrazem na vizuální stránku a i ta se ve filmu uplatní. Umocňují ji i záběry z vrtulníku na osvětlené stadióny. Samozřejmostí je i kvalitví zvuková stopa.
