Novomanželé Eric a Jenni Whitlockovi přijíždějí na líbánky do Ericova sídla. Eric se Jenni svěří, že zde za podivných okolností zemřela jeho první žena. V noci Jenni začínají budit podivné zvuky a začne se jí zjevovat lebka. Eric věří, že je to pouze objekt její představivosti, ovšem Jenni začíná věřit, že se o ni pokouší šílenství. Padá také podezření na mentálně zaostalého zahradníka Mickeyho, že vše zinscenoval on, jakožto hrozivé divadlo. Skutečnost však může být mnohem strašnější.
