Vo freudovskej verzii príbehu o Modrofúzovi mladá Newyorčanka odchádza na dovolenku do Mexika predtým, než si vezme za muža svojho starého priateľa. Ako inak, na dovolenke spoznáva muža svojich snov – pekného, tajomného cudzinca. Počas niekoľkých dní sa vezmú a presťahujú do jeho sídla, v ktorom je krídlo s izbami venovanými známym vraždám.
