Elisha Cuthbert se snaží zorganizovat pohřeb pro svého tragicky zesnulého otce Tima Allena, jeho šest žen účastnících se smutečních příprav jí ale pořádně zamotá hlavu.Henry Lefay (Tim Allen) byl velký komik a ještě větší proutník. Když nešťastnou náhodou zahynul na dovolené v Mexiku, zůstaly po něm jeho čtyři exmanželky, jedna současná a jedna budoucí žena. K tomu dále přičtěte jeho zoufalou matku a ještě nešťastnější dceru. A jak se navíc zdá, Henry měl kromě více žen také hned několik představ o tom, jak by mělo vypadat jeho rozloučení se světem. Pohřeb tady či tamhle anebo snad dokonce kremace? Inu, šest žen je příliš i na takového nebožtíka, jakým je Henry Lefay.
