Ahoj, já jsem Thomasina! Nejdřív mi říkali prostě jenom Thomas, ale když zjistili, že nejsem kocour ale kočka, udělali ze mě Thomasinu. Žiju v rodině McDhuiových ve skotském městečku Inveranoch, a příběh, který vám budu vyprávět, se odehrál na začátku dvacátého století. Mojí nejlepší kamarádkou byla malá Mary, dcera místního veterináře Andrewa McDhui. Jednou jsem měla menší nehodu na tržišti, a tak jsem se dostala až do jeho ordinace na stůl. Bohužel měl zrovna plno práce se zachraňováním života Bruce, slepeckého psa pana Tammase, takže mi prý už nemohl pomoci. Děti mě vyprovodili do nebe, kde mě našla ta místní čarodějka, Lori MacGregor, která se stará o spoustu zvířat. Mary byla tehdy moc smutná a nechtěla už nikdy na svého tatínka promluvit. Říká se ale, že kočka má devět životů, a já Thomasina, mám přinejmenším tři!
