Vyslaný vojenský tým ke svému zděšení odhaluje mohutný komplex tunelů vedoucích z Číny pod všechna strategická místa státu a potvrzuje tak pravdivost Kramerových domněnek. Jednotce se v podzemí dokonce podaří nalézt a zneškodnit několik připravených jaderných hlavic, po střetu s čínskými vojáky je ale po velkých ztrátách nucena se stáhnout. K rozhodujícímu střetu dochází v podzemí havajského vulkánu, v místě hlavního čínského zásobovacího koridoru.
