Píše se rok 2053 a admirál Matthews je prezidentem odvelen do Pacifiky – města na mořském dnu, kde už dříve sloužil. Na Zemi míří asteroid dostatečně velký na to, aby podmořské město kompletně zničil. Admirál udělá všechno proto, aby své město zachránil. Aby to neměl tak jednoduché, musí ve stejnou dobu řešit krádež amerických zásob zlata, které jsou v Pacifice umístěny.
