Přibližuje nám život biologů, zoologů, vulkanologů, geologů a dalších vědců, pro které se ledový kontinent stal osudem. Rozhovory s vědci střídají téměř snové záběry podvodního světa, majestátních hor, podivuhodných zvířat a samozřejmě všudypřítomného ledu.
