V meste Los Angeles sa začínajú diať čudné veci. Ľudia tvrdia, že videli ducha. Inšpektor Robbins (Johnny Carpenter) preto poverí odborníka na duchov, vyšetrovateľa Daniela Bradforda (Duke Moore), spolu s policajtom Paulom Keltonom (Paul Marco), aby to prešetrili. Stretnú sa s Dr. Aculom (Kenne Duncan) a zisťujú, že ide iba o trik, ako vystrašiť ľudí, aby nezistili, čo tam Dr. Acula robí. Bohatým ľuďom tvrdí, že dokáže vzkriesiť ich blízkych z mŕtvych. Bradford hneď zistí, že ide o podvod a preto sa ho rozhodne zatknúť. Nikto z nich ale nebol pripravený na to, čo sa nakoniec stane.Film NIGHT OF THE GHOULS je považovaný za voľné pokračovanie filmu BRIDE OF THE MONSTER. Keďže Ed Wood nemal peniaze na jeho zaplatenie, bol uložený v archíve 23 rokov a až potom sa dočkal uvedenia na videu. Obsahuje všetko, čo máme tak radi na filmoch Eda Wooda, vrátane 400-kilového Tora Johnsona v úlohe Loba.
