Sluhu Lulkalota, podnikajícího v pásech cudnosti, neustále sužuje otázka jeho neznámého původu a o výjimečnosti ho utvrzují i hlasy, které občas slýchá v hlavě. Ty mu také uloží úkol, aby přivedl zpět ze Svaté země krále Richarda Lví srdce, s nímž toho má společného víc, než zatím tuší. Musí ovšem spěchat, aby ze spárů sira Braggarta, který se zmocnil hradu Lulkalotova pána, stihl zachránit milovanou lady Lobélii. A možná přijde i Robin Hood…
