Jenže tentokrát bude všechno jinak, protože dívka najde ztraceného grošovaného poníka jménem Checkers, který utekl z výběhu. Vrátí ho jeho majiteli Dantemu Longpreovi (Don Johnson), ale věří, že poník má všechny předpoklady, aby se stal skokanským šampiónem. Přesvědčí Danteho, aby ji a Checkerse trénoval a navzdory nástrahám rivalky Fiony (Sasha Cohenová) zjišťuje, že vytrvalost, věrnost a individualita mohou vést až na stupně vítězů.
