Když se objevil televizní seriál Firefly, stal se z něj fenomén. Když ho televize FOX po čtrnácti epizodách zrušila, z jeho fanoušků se stali bojovníci za obnovení fenoménu. A ti nejenže dokázali zajistit natočení celovečerního filmu SERENITY, ale nyní dokonce natočili vlastní dokument o fenoménu Firefly, jeho vzestupu i náhlém konci. Ač se to může zdát nemožné, DONE THE IMPOSSIBLE je opravdu čistě fanouškovský projekt, přesto se zařadil po bok profesionálních dokumentárních filmů. Dokument přináší rozhovory s herci i fanoušky, tvůrcem Firefly Jossem Whedonem a spoustou dalších lidí, kteří se na stvoření Firefly podíleli nebo si výsledek prostě jen zamilovali.
