Hudba bez ideologie, nabízející autonomii a prostor k vlastnímu vyjádření. Tak vnímá punkrock skupina mladých muslimů a muslimek, tvořících několik různých kapel a dohromady tuto žánrovou hudební scénu. Většinu z nich oslovila kniha Michaela Muhammada Knighta The Taqwacores, punkový manifest. Knight, vychovávaný jako katolík, konvertoval k islámu ve svých sedmnácti letech na výraz protestu proti despotickému otci. Jako ?bílý muslim" budí pozornost v západní i muslimské společnosti. Knight a jeho přátelé ze skupiny The Kominas uspořádají turné po amerických velkoměstech a po cestě přibírají do svého vyzdobeného autobusu další interprety. Půl roku po americké ?šňůře" koncertují v Pákistánu a snaží se tak punkrock a vlastní interpretaci koránu přiblížit i tamním muslimům. Vystoupení punkrockerů jsou kontroverzní pro americkou i pákistánskou, muslimskou i nemuslimskou komunitu. Režisér Omar Majeed ve svém snímku pracuje s konceptem ?minority uvnitř minorit" a přibližuje, jak těžké je dostát tradicím a zároveň bojovat o možnost projevit se nonkonformně.
